VisiMate® Specialty Printing System FAQs

Q: Why does my top cover close or is tough to shut completely?
A: The top does require some light force to shut it tightly. If the cover seems extremely excessive to shut or doesn't shut at all, then check the supply to make sure its installed properly.

Q: How much resident memory can be stored in the VisiMate System for saving files?
A: The VisiMate can handle up to 15MB of storage.

Q: Will a 72dpi image print clearly with the 300dpi printer?
A: The image will print at the resolution at which it was saved, up to 300dpi. The VisiMate System can print up to 300dpi but will not print a low resolution image at a resolution higher than it was saved.

Q: Can I use any keyboard, or do I have to use the one provided?
A: Most regular keyboard sold in the U.S. will work just as well as the one that was included with the printer. The main difference will be the description of the function keys that is included on the VisiMate System keyboard.

Q: Can you use the touch screen even if the mouse is plugged in?
A: Yes, both methods of operation can be used interchangeably.

Q: Can this printer be networked?
A: The VisiMate System can be connected to a networked PC and shared through the workstation, but it cannot be directly connected to a network interface.

Q: Can I hook the VisiMate System up to a Mac?
A: The VisiMate System and its companion software, GalaRio Template Gallery 2.0 have been developed for the PC. If no PC's are available, it can still be operated as a stand alone system without the computer interface.
